How Exactly Do Democrats Propose Paying for the Increased Cost?
The original idea was, you know, that basically the federal government's going to kick in a lot of cash. The easiest way to think about it is each parent would have to pay a certain percent of their income towards their child care. And if you make less than 75 % of your state mediun income, you'll have no co payment. If you make between 75% and a hundred%, your co payment will be two%. It goes up to seven%: one dollar step could cost you 13 thousand dollars.
