This disease was seen really as a sort of god casting down his wrath on mankind. We have chronicle descriptions say, you know, there were not enough people alive to bury the dead. So it does feel like the coming of the apocalypse. You also see the black death becoming much more prevalent insot of popular responses, popular culture. And that's something that persists in that first after the pandemic initially hits 650 years ago.
