How to Treat a Dislocated Second Metatarsal Joint
Many people answered a complete MTP capsulotomy and resection arthroplasty with tendon release or lengthening. The problem is this will not hold the toe back in position at the MTP joint, which is the primary issue. Verdel Stone Taylor with a flexortic sensor tendon transfer is the best option. With a while osteotomy you will not see an increased rate of malunion or pseudoarthrosis.
