Apartment Living in the Inner City

I remember there was a young guy who lived below my apartment and he was into the Fitzroy party scene. He'd come back to his apartment at 2am on a Sunday night ready for afters and there'd be music vibrating up bedroom wall. I had to go down and have some words to him and say this is not on. We were pretty fortunate apart from our mate downstairs. And I think also the quality of the build plays a big role in the transference of noise either from your place below, above and then to either side. So it was a pretty solid building. And that certainly helped.
