How Much of the Wall Is Missing?

The wall has a fantastic post roman history. And what you see are actually kind of different phases in which the wall is used as a quarry. I suspect we're probably missing at least 90 % of hadrian's wall. So we really have, and maybe even more than that. The challenge for us as archaeologistis to try and understand that roman life in the frontier from that very small percentage of what remains.
