The Roman Empire and Gladiatoria Combat

It used to be believed that constantine, as the first emperor who was christian, did away with gladiatorial conduct because it was the right thing to do. Sa: We don't actually know. It does cut off one's supply line for gladiators, but that's it. And clearly, gladiatoria combat is still going on long after constantine is dead and seems to have waned in popularity a bit.
