The Role of Black Men in the Dreamscape
In his criminal justice opinions, oftentimes the victim figure there is a black woman. That's kind of the role that they play black women in this whole sort of dreamscape: as victims that need to be protected by black men. His view of race, what is race to him? It's not like something like Barbara Fields would say race is something that's created constantly through activity, law, and practice. He says at one point, what's the origins of racism? You know, we don't know.
