Taiwan's President Visits the Reagan Library in California
House Foreign Affairs Chairman Michael McCall and a bipartisan delegation of lawmakers did land in Taipei for a three-day visit. China is always going to oppose American politicians going over to Taiwan, but why the selective outrage? Why do they make such a big deal sometimes but not other times? Steve Ratner: I don't think we're in a moment of improvement in US-Chinese relations to any significant degree. Neither side is looking for a bad situation to get demonstrably worse, much less for a crisis or an incident.
