Middle Phalanx Fractures
Base fractures can be further classified into partial articular fractures or complete articular fractures. Treatment of middle phalinx fractures can be non operative or operative. Non operative management includes body taping versus splinting, which is indicated for extra articular fractures with less than ten degrees of angulation and no rotational deformity. The technique for non operative management of middle phalanx fractures includes three weeks of imobilization followed by aggressive motion.
