How to Manage Oncocytoma in the Elderly Population
The vast majority of our patients in our cohort so far, over 90% have all had a malignancy anyhow. We've only had one patient that much to our surprise despite MR and CT, it was a lipid poor angiomyelipoma. To me, it depends on what is the benign tissue. If the pathologist can comfortably come down on an ancocytoma, then I probably feel pretty comfortable. And certainly if they say angiomyleipoma, unless I'm playing an on-trady or something like that, based on its size for a future bleeding risk,. It depends on the comfort level of the pathologist.
