The CPI Is a Pain in the Ass.
Inflationary mindset's a little bit of a new thing, right? It's kind of invisible. People don't think about it the way you and I think about it when we watch the CPI this morning. But by the second half of the chart, boy, oh boy, this is a pain in the ass. You see the lower highs here are the problem. So if you don't get to the really, really low readings, then you run the risk that this red line is moving up from 2 to 3 to 4 to 5 or higher percent.
