The Importance of Individualization in Training

When you go through textbooks with case studies it's all about the male norm and when we look at female athletes, we are different from a cellular to a whole person level. So there's a lot of interesting things that are still apparent that aren't taking into account just basic female physiology. And I mean when we think about some of the wearables now right and we're looking at heart rate variability as a metric for recovery, but the algorithms have been based on the male environment so it doesn't take into account the longer you're not a QT interval for women versus men.
