The Importance of Reconstructions of Historical Dress
Reconstructions should reflect current knowledge about dress in the past. They shouldn't be a cheap alternative that's easy to create and use. We wouldn't recreate a piece of furniture and put it in a room display, so why would we do it with historic dress? I guess it just comes down to if something's worth doing, it's worth doing well.
