Jason and his Argonauts had made it mostly intact to Colchus. But now they faced another set of problems. King Aetis, he was an angry, proud, and powerful man who had big muscles. Hera knew that she also needed someone on the inside of Aetis household,. And she knew just the woman. Medea, the youngest daughter of King Aet is a skilled witch and sorceress. She needed something stronger. Cupid wasn't yet the attractive young man who he met in the Cupid and Psyche story. Here, he was just a toddler, an unruly one.
