Faulkner: Most people can't hear it the first time not because they don't have ears but because of their preconceived notions. Faulkner: If you're willing to acknowledge what level you're at and what efforts you're willing to make, you can probably find a strategy that'll work now. He says if your listeners would do well to as much as they can let go of their ideas of their own brilliance in order to get a sense of what it is they're willing to do.
