I've always had a lot more sympathy for techno Marxism, then for the sort of Ruzoian Marxism that is so dominant. There's a whole cottage industry intellectually on the right that says we were all happy or better off when we were surfs. I think our tendency of people in positions of authority to think the worst of us are something that compounds after disasters.
