The Importance of Energy in Athletic Performance

Just having the extra energy makes a big difference. It's true since much of that comes from carbs, which also are generally underfed with a lot of women. And unfortunately, the processes related to hypertrophy are not very high on the list of where the energy's going to go before we get to muscle building. In sport and many other sports, it's not recommended to try to get and stay too lean because that requires just a calorie deficit.
