Are We Afraid of Ukrainians?

Last week i made an argument that there is a rational and reasonable case that we should be careful intervening in ukraine. I'm not hearing a lot of people make this argument, will be very honest. The question needs to be deeper than that, which is, can we successfully pull it off? When have there been successful military interventions to be able to deter people like vladimir putton?
