How Do Performance Numbers Change When You Increase a Load Parameter?

The book is very careful to use the word performance numbers. It doesn't actually say parameters, it says performance numbers. So if you're talking about like response times or page load times, now we're talking about basically performance numbers. And in that case, as the number of concurrent users goes up, that's our load parameter. How is our page load time affected? Presumably it gets worse.
