Is the Congo a Sound Bite?
I think the Congo say for the general public is largely unknown in France. I do think that French engagement with other parts of the world, notably equatorial Africa, but you could definitely point to other cases of atrocity and depopulation. So it remains a kind of, you know, undiscussed history.
