A photo voltaic cell was developed much earlier than i would have thought. In the 18 thirtiesor thereabouts, its quite a bit of interest in his work. They didn't really have silicania but they did have germania and so on. It's going to happen if you have the right conditions. You know, it just doesn't matterit doesn't matter.
