The End Point of the Hiking Cycle Is Only One and a Half Quarters
The end point is much lower than historically heading into a hiking cycle. In the last two cycles, as we were getting closer to the end point, the market was moving the end point higher. And that's just not happening this time. We're estimating the end point of the hiking cycle that the market is pricing in at less than one and three quarters. Such a very short hiking cycle, if the market is right. But ultimately, as that's what's impacting that curve, where those long end rates are not able to rise.
