Rosemary Goring's Legacy in Scotland
How can Mary's legacy still be seen in Scotland's physical fabric? I'm not sure that she had much to do with the physical fabric because she wasn't a builder like her father and her grandfather. If we still had all her furnishings and her wardrobes full of clothes, you could see that aspect of her. But actually she kind of moved in as if it was into a new build home into all these wonderfully renovated or magnificent palaces and castles. And she just lived in them as if they had been done entirely for her. The buildings certainly evoke her and her period and time. That was Rosemary Goring. Her book Homecoming is published by Berlin and On Sale
