Witchcraft During the Witch Trials?

Most people who are prosecuted for witchcraft during the witch trials and after, were entirely innocent of the crimes. So we have to separate two things out here. One is that people, yes, are performing harmful magic. And often harmful magic is actually done against suspected witches. But at the same time, the people who are normally accused of it, witches, younow, in a vast majority cases, we have no evence they were actually doing that at all. We see the figure of witch all over alloer the world, in different times and different places.
