Is There a Legal Status of Witchcraft in France?

Witchcraft was de criminalized a bit earlier than in most places. About 70 cases i know of where witches, people who accused o witchcraft, were murdered. People commit crimes that are crimes in their own right because they're involved in a witchcraft dispute. It's slanderous to call someone a witch; if you call someone awitch in front witnesses, then at they can take you to court.
