The History of Literary Studies

I'm not really well positioned to talk about the history of literary studies as an academic discipline. But I can divulge what I take to be my extremely minority view, but also the extremely and exclusively correct view. If I didn't sincerely believe this, it's true that Thales was wrong,. That all is water and that anaximones was wrong, that all is air. When you study what they said, you are a student of the truth. So studying wrong ideas, stuff that people got wrong in the past, is the study of true things. Otherwise, I wouldn't insist on it.
