Introduction
Ten 66 was a year in which history seemed to move at a gallop. Duke william of normandy pitted his forces against king harold of england. The battle that took place on that bloody ridge would be known hastings. It is rightly remembered as one of the most infamous and famous years in british history. We have also got a brilliant new series on the north of england, which really features the gigantic campaign of conquest and pacification by william the conqueror by the normans following the battle of hastings.
