The rebels never wanted to replace richard, they just wanted his counsellors removed. They believed that the king was young and divinely appointed by god so had an issue with him. The frustration really was at the demands made on them by the sort of landlords above them. And ultimately, they wanted fair treatment. What tyler said, that all men should be free. We want ed liberty, equality, the banishment of serf, serfdom and fair tax.
