Worspite's Journey to Malta
During the invasion of Normandy Worspite was on call for fire support missions and would fire at a variety of targets. After these bombardment efforts she moved through the Straits of Dover on the way to Rossith for repairs. By late August with shafts in mostly working order and everything else patched up as much as possible and new guns, Worspight once again was off the French coast near the port of Brest. Then on September 10th she bombarded British port Laharv trying to try to soften up German defenses before the American attack which would finally capture the island. In October she would have been involved in her final fire missions firing 353 15 inch shells in support of attacks
