The History of the Crusader States
The crusader states were founded during the first crusade at the end of the 11th century. They expanded considerably through a series of military conquests and diplomatic agreements. But that expansion period ended fairly soon afterwards in the mid to late 1120s. The pressure on the crusader states grew as the 12th century developed, particularly with rulers such as Nuraldin or perhaps better known Saladin.
