There are rumors that Douglas has committed these kind of pretty atrocious crimes. There's a very particular rumor going around the diggings that he murdered a white woman at a place called Evoca. And so the miners at this gold field have had enough and they actually find Douglas and his men. They capture him, but once they're caught, there's motions to lynch them.
