It may impair academic performance in school children. It very likely is a reason for an increased likelihood of ca rascular disease like high blood pressure. And there's other disease outcomes that people have started looking at, like diabedes or obesity, that could be linked to noise exposure. But this stress response does not only depend on the sound pressure level, but it depends on the circumstances.
