The Problem With the British Empire

The British Empire through its navy did an enormous amount to eradicated across the world. Apart from the transatlantic slave trade which ended in the term of the 18th 19th century there was a huge sort of slave trade in the Arab and Middle Eastern and Turkish world that carried on. So I think it was an empire which very much emphasized liberation, evolution to democracy, representative government. The British Westminster model was very much held up as something that all the colonies should aspire to at different stages.
