China's National Security Is a Priority

There's no secret that national security is a priority here even at the 20th Congress. In October when Xi Jinping was giving his speech, he mentioned security 73 times. There has been a tightening over other controls on the Internet and bans on human rights groups. So what we're seeing is the potential for a national movement with these protests happening simultaneously in multiple cities across the country.
