roger bacon is just an absolutely fascinating man. He's credited with coming up with all these ideas as to human powered flight and submarines and gunpowder. But there was this clash, presumably, between the religious orthodoxy of the time and this new aristotelian way of thinking. It's really t in my bacon confusion, which i have, which we all have,. ik, which bacon's that's not francis bacon.
