The Challenges of Doing Clinical Research in Animals During the Pandemic

The vessels are very small. We're able to get done with the case within 30 minutes towards the end of the study. The original timelines for the study, we were anticipating being done with everything early spring and then getting all the clinical trial stuff together to start in the fall. But because of COVID, there was a hard stop in March. And so we had to wait until just a few weeks ago to complete all the animal studies.
