The Hippie Movement and the Preppy Movement

I was sitting in a coffee shop today in Venice, California. I thought this really reminds me of the hippie movement. When the hippie thing started going mainstream, it sort of lost its power, but it went mainstream anyway. The arc of that is about four years. So I think we got about three more years of this left, maybe two in the mainstream and then it'll just go away. And then there'll be some sort of huge reaction the other way - like LaCoc shirts responding to the hippie things. That's what came next. It feel like we're really stretching it out.
