The Importance of Hip Positioning in DDH Management
Hip dislocations can usually be treated with closed reduction in spica casting. For children older than 3 months of age, the presence of asymmetric hip abduction can be more reliable. Excessive flexion will lead to femoral nerve palsy and excessive abduction will lead to obtrader nerve policy. The pablecarnus is a dynamic positioning device that allows the child to move freely within its restraints.
