Think beyond the book. Learn more, learn what don't you know about the industry yet? How do acquisitions work, for example, who's who in publishing? Try and learn those things because all of that will come in handy when you have that polished product. And then finally, if it's not working, quit for a bit and put it away, take a break and then come back with a set of small goals to keep you pacing forward.
