Ukranians are really belong to this group of istslavs, together with bella, russians in particular. And the linguistic barrier, for example, between between russian and ukranian not is not huge. So there is ther there is a sort of commonality that is there. That's why, at least in my opinion, this war, came as a major surprise, especially emotionally, to many ukranians.
