The Impact of Coins in the Tin Can on Beta Testing
When the original mailbox launched, they had this queue you could get in. Then we realized that it needs to be something a bit more fun and then they came up with the coins in the tin can. That was a couple of weeks before we shipped the beta and then they built it in a really short amount of time. People were sharing them everywhere. It was just fun. The CD interactions about it. People asking strangers like, hey, do you have a coin for me? They would send it over and they would connect sometimes. Actually, who are you? I know you have a Coin but they would start following each other on Twitter or whatever.
