The Role of the Heart in Religion
Early Christians believed that the heart was a tablet and all of their deeds and misdeeds were recorded on the inner walls. And presumably also, it was an easy way to kill people, right? So it would seem important because if it was attacked, it could lead to death. Well, again, this goes back to our pre-historic ancestors. They knew that the best way to kill an animal was through the heart.
