Why Do I Need Teeth?
Children were lured to have their teeth extracted for the benefit of the wealthy. Scavengers would rob graves for teeth to be used as dentures. There is an ad in New York City's Rivertins Royal Gazette that offered four guineas for each sound front tooth.
