Lawmakers from a liberal democratic party of russia have submitted a draft law to the state duma that would conscript into military service anyone prosecuted for participating in unsanctioned protests. The bill suggests sending prosecuted protests for military service on the territories of the self proclaimed denetsk and luhansk people's republics in eastern ukrain. "It's the stupidest thing you can do, but i think they're trying to scare these people," says John Defterios.
