The Japanese Task Force, a Japanese Air Force Task Force in the Pacific Ocean

Of a 350 aircraft that had attacked pole harbour, only 29 fell to return. One submarine and five midget submarines were also destroyed. Opinion was divided among the japanese naval officers. They left the docks intact at po harbor. And they hadn't destroyed the fuel tanks in that respect. As much as there could be any positives, if you like, from the attack, it was that the aircraft carriers weren't at dock wanto anchorage. That's huge distance to cover. So one can understand why the Japans would feel vulnerable.
