The Romantic Movement

The romantic movement, which has a movement in the largely eighteenth century in europe, really affected a lot of our culture to day. The romantics introduced this idea that creativity was a kind of divine spark that certain special individuals had access to and could suddenly produce ar genius ideas. So we tend to think, we tend to heroize our key geniuses, and we think imaginationis kind of a mystical process that you can't really systematize and control. And so with the book, we wanted to take, o ah, the approach that aristotle would have taken to these things, to say it can be systematized,. even though it's a complicated part of human nature.
