Benjamin Franklin's Contribution to the Library Company

There were very few books in Philadelphia when Franklin started the library company. He printed a lot of, he printed newspapers, he printed Almanacs. But what he did as a bookseller was import books from England more probably than anybody else in the colonies. By the 1760s his bookstore was the biggest in British North America.
