What Was the Geopolitical Situation in the Khaatsami Era?
Khaatsami had actually scored some victories with in terms of extending a kind of olive branch to Europe. Now, Khaatsami and his sort of foreign policy people, his coalition, thought that there was a possibility for Repro-Shman with the U.S. The Taliban was considered dangerous government from Iran's perspective because they're right on their border. It's not like the US half a world away.
