How to Transition to a New York City Business
I would suggest trying to do something in the private sector and get some experience that way. Working as a sub-consultant to a contractor who's working, say, at the port authority. There's ways to get three projects under your belt. But again, it's a hindrance. I don't know how these companies allow individuals to use their individual experience. It's like applying for the job and they tell you you need experience to do it when you fresh out of college. That's why I didn't have the job. Exactly.
