Thus ends the Boris Johnson era, signified by high drama, a litany of scandals, and a country in deep crisis. The challenges facing Prime Minister Truss are monumental, with high inflation and soaring energy bills. To discuss her daunting in-tray and the UK’s future on the international stage, Christiane speaks with Labour member of the House of Lords Valerie Amos and Britain’s former man in Washington Peter Westmacott.
